As a contemporary art gallery in Paris closed, the bookshop attached to it was also preparing to relocate.
Sometime before the move, a cardboard box filled with art books—destined to be discarded—was rescued.
This book was one of those buried inside.
Like a time capsule, the moment has come for this book to reappear.
In 2025, This is not my cat by Takashi Homma was published as a collaborative edition by Nieves and Perimeter Editions.
This zine exists in several variations. One of them is a collaboration with Takashi Homma, featuring a cat as its subject.
Justine from Perimeter Editions was the first to save one copy.
As he flipped through the pages, she exclaimed excitedly, “same cat!”
フランス・パリにあるコンテンポラリーアートギャラリーのクローズに伴い、併設されていたブックショップも移転することになった。
引越し前のある時、破棄される予定だった段ボール一箱分のアートブックを保護した。
本書は、その箱の中に埋もれていた一冊である。
まるでタイムカプセルのように、いま再びこの本が現れるべき時期が訪れた。
2025年、NievesとPerimeter Editionsの共同出版により、ホンマタカシ『This is not my cat』が刊行された。
本Zineには複数のバリエーションが存在し、そのうちの1冊はホンマタカシとのコラボレーションによるもので、猫が被写体となっている。
Perimeter Editionsのジャスティンが、この1copyを真っ先に保護した。
ページをめくりながら「同じ猫！」と言った。
