James Geurtsは地理学や時間といった多次元を、パブリックアート、彫刻、インスタレーション、ビデオ、写真によるコンセプチュアルなプロセスを用い作品を制作する。本作品はヤラ川の氾濫源を作品にしたシリーズ。貯蔵された過去のアーカイブ写真と現代の氾濫源にネオン彫刻を施した写真を用いた。また、過去の氾濫源地点の調査書をスキャン（スキャナーに内蔵されるネオン）し、ある意味、氾濫の行為として再構築した。
