After years of falling down musical rabbit holes through my Soup to Nuts show on NTS Radio — late-night research, endless tabs and deep connections between scenes and eras — I wanted a way to archive these journeys beyond the internet. So I made a zine.
DEEP DIVE is a listen-along zine filled with notes, stories and context to accompany the music. Each issue comes with stickers and a collectable card, making it a little artefact of the worlds I explore on air.
Issue #1 honours the legacy of the late Ryuichi Sakamoto (1952–2023) — the composer, musician, producer, actor and environmental activist often described as a true renaissance man. His ever-evolving work and boundless influence opened countless musical doors for me and continue to inspire everything I do.

NTS Radio（Femi Adeyemiによるロンドンのハックニーでスタートした"非商業主義"のインディペンデントなラジオ局）で放送しているわたしの番組"Soup to Nuts"を通して、長年にわたり音楽の奥深い世界にどんどん入り込み、探求を続けてきました。深夜までのリサーチ、無数に開いたタブ、そしてシーンや時代を超えた深い繋がり——。こうした旅を、インターネットの中だけでなく、きちんと形として残せる方法が欲しいと思うようになりました。そこで、Zineを作ることにしたのです。
『DEEP DIVE』は、音楽と一緒に楽しむ“リスン・アロング”形式のジンで、楽曲に寄り添うノートやストーリー、背景となるコンテクストが詰まっています。各号にはステッカーとコレクタブルカードが付属し、わたしがオンエアで探求している世界を、小さなアーティファクトとして形にしています。
創刊号となる Issue #1 では、故・坂本龍一（1952–2023）のレガシーに敬意を捧げています。作曲家、音楽家、プロデューサー、俳優、そして環境活動家としても知られる彼は、"真のルネサンスマン"(肩書きに収まらない多彩な人物)と称される存在でした。進化し続ける彼の作品と計り知れない影響力は、わたしに数え切れないほどの音楽的扉を開いてくれました。そしてそのインスピレーションは、今もなお、すべてのことに息づいています。
